What does lifetime license mean?
One payment, yours forever. No annual renewal, no subscription, no per-seat fees. Buy it once and keep it.
What is a community pack?
A folder of SVG symbols plus a manifest JSON. Drop it in your assets folder and the new symbols appear in the palette automatically.
Can I sell packs I make?
That's the plan. The pack format is open and the spec is public so you can build packs today. The paid marketplace (set your price, keep 80%) is not live yet — packs are free-only for now.
What's the difference between Forms Sketch and Forms 2D?
Sketch is a free, lightweight Windows app for rough ideation — no account, no payment, ever. Forms 2D is the full desktop CAD application with layers, symbol packs, and early DWG import. Sketch is where you think; Forms 2D is where you draft.
Can Forms 2D open my existing DWG files?
DWG import is in beta and optimized for R14/R2000 files. Newer R2010+ files open but coordinate accuracy may vary. DWG export is not supported — save your work as the native .fms2d format.
Is there a subscription or a trial that expires?
No subscription, ever. Forms Sketch is free forever. Forms 2D is a one-time $50 purchase with no expiry and no recurring charge.
What platforms do Forms tools run on?
Forms Sketch is a Windows desktop app today, and also runs in the browser (no install). Forms 2D will ship as both a desktop app and a browser version at launch. Detailed platform/version requirements will be published with the documentation.
How do updates work with a lifetime license?
Updates within your purchased product are included — no upgrade fees. New, separate products (e.g. Forms 3D) are their own lifetime licenses.
When are Forms 3D / Review / Print / Prime coming?
They're in development with no committed dates — we don't ship slide decks about what's coming. Add your email on a product page and we'll tell you once, when it actually launches.
Do I need an account to download community packs?
No. Community packs are free and download directly — no account, no email wall. (Pack files are being prepared; the library is going up now.)
